McGill's business faculty works out of the Bronfman Building on Sherbrooke Street, at the foot of Mount Royal. Desautels teaches the Bachelor of Commerce, an MBA and one-year master's degrees in analytics and finance. Teaching is in English, though Montreal around you is largely French-speaking. Quebec's lower living costs make it cheaper than Toronto for a top Canadian name.

Rounds, autumn to spring
The Bronfman Building is on Sherbrooke Street between McGill's gates and the Golden Square Mile. Peel and McGill metro stations are both a few minutes away.
Most students rent in the Plateau, Milton-Parc or Mile End. Rent is lower than in Toronto, and French helps for part-time work.
Letter of acceptance from McGill University
Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ)
Proof of funds for tuition and living
Online IRCC study permit application
Medical exam, if requested
Valid passport and biometrics
BCom applications for international students are usually due 15 January. MBA and specialised master's programmes use rounds from autumn to spring, and early rounds leave more time for the CAQ and study permit.
All programmes start in late August.
You need a Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ) and then a Canadian study permit, supported by the letter of acceptance from McGill University. Apply online to IRCC with proof of funds and biometrics.
The BCom, MBA and the analytics and finance master's are popular. BCom needs strong secondary grades, including maths. Graduate programmes need a good bachelor's degree, and a GMAT or GRE is expected for most.
McGill gives entrance scholarships to strong undergraduates, and Desautels offers merit awards for graduate programmes. Awards are competitive, so apply early.
