More than half of America's public companies are incorporated in Delaware, and that shapes what gets taught at Delaware Law School. Part of Widener University, it sits on Concord Pike on the northern edge of Wilmington. Corporate and business law is the strongest area, through its Institute of Delaware Corporate and Business Law. There's a full-time JD, an evening JD for people who work, and an LLM for lawyers trained abroad.

Spring, rolling
The campus is a few miles north of downtown Wilmington on Concord Pike, a busy road of shops and offices. Most students drive or take the bus.
Wilmington is small, but the Chancery Court and big bank offices give it an outsized legal scene. Philadelphia is half an hour away by SEPTA or Amtrak.

JD applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with most decisions made from winter through spring. LLM applicants should apply by late spring to allow time for the I-20 and visa.
The JD and LLM start in August.
You'll need an F-1 visa. Once you accept your offer and send proof of funding, Widener University issues the Form I-20. After that it's the SEVIS fee, the DS-160 form and an interview at a US embassy or consulate.
The full-time JD and the LLM in corporate law are the main choices for international students. The JD requires a bachelor's degree and an LSAT score. The LLM requires a first law degree from outside the US and strong English.
Most JD students are considered for merit scholarships at admission, based on LSAT and grades. LLM funding is more limited, so ask admissions directly.
