Burwood is the largest campus, 14 kilometres east of Melbourne's centre with tram links; Geelong's Waterfront and Waurn Ponds campuses host health, engineering and business by the bay.
Melbourne offers laneways, sport and a big student population; Geelong, an hour away, is smaller and cheaper with surf beaches nearby. Both give students a wide choice of part-time work.

Deakin runs three trimesters, starting in March, July and November. Most IT, business and data science programmes admit for all three, while nursing and some health programmes are March only. Check the course page for the intakes available to international students.
You need a Student visa (subclass 500). After you accept your offer and pay the deposit, Deakin issues a Confirmation of Enrolment. You then apply through ImmiAccount with proof of funds, Overseas Student Health Cover and a Genuine Student statement.
Information technology, data science, the MBA, cyber security and nursing are the most applied-for programmes. Master's entry usually needs a bachelor's degree with a pass or credit average (around 55-60% for Indian degrees) and IELTS 6.5 with no band below 6.0; nursing requires 7.0.
Yes. The Deakin Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarship covers 50% or 100% of tuition for top applicants, and the Deakin International Scholarship gives a 25% reduction to eligible students from India and other countries.
