On the north edge of downtown Omaha, a short walk from the stadium that hosts the College World Series, Creighton University has been teaching since 1878. It is a private Jesuit university of about 9,000 students. Health sciences carry much of its reputation, with schools of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and nursing, plus a newer health sciences campus in Phoenix. The Heider College of Business teaches business and analytics.

Omaha is a Missouri River city with a surprising number of big company headquarters. The Old Market's brick warehouses, now restaurants and bars, are a short walk from campus.
Every June the College World Series fills the ballpark just south of campus. Rent is low compared with coastal cities, and winters are cold.

Creighton has an early action deadline in November and a later regular deadline in the winter for first-year entry. Health professions and graduate programmes set their own deadlines.
Most students start in the fall (August). Some graduate programmes also admit in spring.
International students come in on an F-1 visa. The I-20 comes from Creighton University after you confirm your place and show you can cover a year of costs; you then pay the SEVIS fee, fill in the DS-160 and book your consulate interview.
Business, nursing, computer science, the MBA and pharmacy are popular. Undergraduates need strong grades and IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 80. Health professional programmes have extra prerequisites and interviews.
Yes. Creighton awards merit scholarships to international undergraduates at admission, and many students receive them. Graduate funding is more limited.
