It sits on SMU's red-brick campus in University Park, a few miles north of downtown Dallas. University Park is a quiet, wealthy suburb, and SMU's campus is all Georgian red brick and lawns. The DART Mockingbird rail station is at the east edge of campus.
Dallas has no state income tax and plenty of corporate jobs. Summers are very hot. Most students drive, though the DART rail network covers downtown and the airport.

The full-time MBA and specialised master's programmes use application rounds from about October to April. International applicants should aim for the earlier rounds for scholarship and visa timing.
Graduate programmes start in August. Undergraduates apply to SMU and either enter Cox directly or declare a business major later.
