On a narrow strip of land in the East River, between Manhattan and Queens, Cornell Tech opened its Roosevelt Island campus in 2017. It is Cornell University's graduate campus for technology, business and law, where degrees last one or two years. Degrees include one-year MEng programmes, a one-year MBA and dual master's run with the Technion in Israel. Every student works on product studio projects set by New York companies.

Roosevelt Island has its own aerial tram to Midtown Manhattan and an F train station. The campus looks across the East River to the United Nations and Midtown's towers.
Many students live in The House, the residential tower on campus. New York rents are steep, so budget carefully and expect to share.

Most Cornell Tech master's programmes have application deadlines between December and January for August entry, and some run earlier priority rounds. The one-year MBA follows Johnson's rounds from autumn to spring.
Most programmes start in August. The Johnson Cornell Tech MBA starts in May.
It's the F-1 student visa. Get your I-20 from Cornell University first (they need your deposit and bank documents), then pay the SEVIS fee, complete the DS-160 and attend the visa interview. Book the interview early in peak season.
The MEng in computer science, information systems, operations research and the one-year MBA are the main programmes. You need a strong bachelor's degree, the GRE for some programmes, and TOEFL 100 or IELTS 7.0.
Merit scholarships are limited at Cornell Tech, but some programmes offer partial awards and the MBA has fellowships. Most students fund their studies through savings and loans.
