Mennonites founded Conrad Grebel in 1963 as a residence and teaching college on the University of Waterloo campus, and it still has both. Students are enrolled at Waterloo and earn Waterloo degrees, but many live at Grebel and take its courses. It teaches music, peace and conflict studies, and Mennonite studies, and runs the Master of Peace and Conflict Studies and a Master of Theological Studies.

Grebel's residence sits on the west side of the Waterloo campus, along Westmount Road. Community suppers, choirs and a small chapel give it a close, village feel.
Waterloo is a tech city, with co-op employers everywhere and the ION light rail running into Kitchener. Winters are snowy, and rent off campus is high.

Undergraduates apply to the University of Waterloo through OUAC, usually by mid-January, and then apply separately to live at Grebel. The MPACS and MTS programmes set their own deadlines, typically in the winter before a September start.
Undergraduate and master's programmes start in September.
Study permit, applied for through IRCC. You'll upload the acceptance letter from University of Waterloo, an attestation letter if your programme needs one, proof you can pay tuition and living costs, and then give biometrics.
Music, peace and conflict studies, history and the MPACS master's are the main draws. Undergraduate entry follows Waterloo's Faculty of Arts requirements and IELTS 6.5. MPACS needs a bachelor's degree with strong grades and relevant experience.
Waterloo gives entrance scholarships to strong international undergraduates, and Grebel has its own awards for residents and music students. MPACS students can apply for college scholarships and research assistantships.
