CSU Dominguez Hills sits in Carson, in the South Bay part of Los Angeles County, between the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles and the city's aerospace corridor. It was founded in 1960 and serves many first-generation and working students. Business, nursing, computer science, kinesiology and public administration draw the largest numbers. The stadium used by the LA Galaxy stands on the campus grounds.

Most students commute. Rent is high but lower than on the Westside, and a car makes life far easier here.

CSUDH admits in fall and, for many programmes, in spring too.
You'll need an F-1 visa. Once you accept your offer and send proof of funding, California State University - Dominguez Hills issues the Form I-20. After that it's the SEVIS fee, the DS-160 form and an interview at a US embassy or consulate.
Business, computer science, kinesiology, the MBA and the Master of Public Administration are popular. Undergraduates are assessed on school grades; graduate applicants need a bachelor's degree and about IELTS 6.5.
Scholarships for international students are limited. Enrolled students can apply through the university's general scholarship portal.
