Bucknell sits above the Susquehanna River in Lewisburg, a small Pennsylvania town with a Victorian main street and an art deco cinema. It was founded in 1846. Unusually for a school this size, it combines a liberal arts college with a college of engineering and a school of management, and those two draw many international students. Research with faculty often starts in the first or second year.

Early decision closes in November, with a second early round and regular decision in January. International applicants use the Common App and should apply for aid at the same time.
All first-year students start in August.
It's the F-1 student visa. Get your I-20 from Bucknell University first (they need your deposit and bank documents), then pay the SEVIS fee, complete the DS-160 and attend the visa interview. Book the interview early in peak season.
Mechanical, chemical and computer engineering, accounting and financial management, and economics are popular. Admission is selective and looks at school results, essays and recommendations. Non-native speakers usually need TOEFL 100 or IELTS 7.0.
Bucknell offers need-based aid and some merit scholarships to international students, but aid is limited and asking for it can affect admission. Apply for aid when you apply.
