For fall 2027 undergraduate entry, applications close on 1 December 2026; winter 2027 entry closes 1 October 2026. Every applicant also needs an ecclesiastical endorsement and must agree to the honour code. Graduate deadlines are set by each programme, with most closing between January and March.
Undergraduates can start in fall (September) or winter (January). Computer science and engineering master's programmes admit for both, while the Marriott accountancy, MBA and information systems master's are fall only. Check your programme's admissions page to confirm.
You need an F-1 student visa. International Student and Scholar Services issues your Form I-20 after you accept the offer and submit proof of funding. Then pay the SEVIS fee, complete the DS-160 and book an interview at a US embassy or consulate.
Accountancy, computer science, the Marriott MBA, information systems and electrical engineering attract the most international applicants. Graduate admission needs a strong bachelor's degree, TOEFL 85 or IELTS 7.0, and the GMAT or GRE for business programmes. All students must agree to the honour code and obtain an ecclesiastical endorsement.
BYU's tuition is already subsidised by the Church, so it costs far less than other private universities, with members paying about half the non-member rate. International students can apply for academic scholarships and graduate assistantships, though need-based aid is limited. Check the financial aid pages for current details.
