Since 2022, Bloomsburg University has been the largest campus of Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania, formed when Bloomsburg merged with Lock Haven and Mansfield universities. Students still study on the Bloomsburg campus, on a hill above the only incorporated town in Pennsylvania. It's part of the state's public university system and is known for nursing, business, education and speech-language pathology. Applications now go through Commonwealth University.

Commonwealth University reviews applications on a rolling basis. International students should apply by spring for fall entry and by autumn for spring. Some health programmes have earlier dates.
Most programmes start in August, and many also start in January.
International students come in on an F-1 visa. The I-20 comes from Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania after you confirm your place and show you can cover a year of costs; you then pay the SEVIS fee, fill in the DS-160 and book your consulate interview.
Nursing, business, computer science, exercise science and speech-language pathology are popular. Undergraduates need secondary school completion and TOEFL 70 or IELTS 6.0. The speech-language pathology master's needs a relevant bachelor's degree, and places are limited.
Commonwealth University offers some merit scholarships for out-of-state and international students. Awards are usually partial, so check the current list when you apply.
