BITS Pilani opened its Dubai campus in 2000, the institute's first outside India, and it now sits in Dubai International Academic City. Degrees are awarded by BITS Pilani, with the same B.E. structure and grading used in India. Engineering is the core: computer science, electronics, electrical, mechanical, chemical and biotechnology. The Practice School internship, a full semester in industry, is the part students talk about most.
