Bellevue University opened in 1966 on the southern edge of the Omaha metro, in the Nebraska town of Bellevue, a few minutes from Offutt Air Force Base. It built its name teaching working adults and military families, and many of its students study online. International students on campus take accelerated courses in business, IT and cybersecurity. It's private and non-profit, and tuition is charged by the credit hour.

The campus is small and practical, a few minutes from Offutt and about 15 minutes by car from downtown Omaha.
Omaha has a low cost of living, a lively Old Market district of brick warehouses and cold winters. A car makes life much easier here.
Form I-20 issued by Bellevue University
Proof of funds for one academic year
SEVIS I-901 fee payment receipt
Completed DS-160 online application
US embassy or consulate interview
Passport valid six months beyond stay
Bellevue University admits on a rolling basis. International students should apply at least three months before the term, to allow time for the I-20 and the visa appointment.
Terms start several times a year. Fall and spring are the usual starts for new international students.
You'll need an F-1 visa. Once you accept your offer and send proof of funding, Bellevue University issues the Form I-20. After that it's the SEVIS fee, the DS-160 form and an interview at a US embassy or consulate.
Cybersecurity, data science, the MBA and computer information systems are the main choices. Master's programmes need a bachelor's degree and English test results; undergraduates need secondary school completion. F-1 students must meet in-person study rules rather than studying fully online.
Bellevue has some institutional scholarships, and its per-credit tuition is lower than at many private universities. Ask admissions which awards are open to international students.
