Miami Shores is a leafy residential village, and the campus sits on NE 2nd Avenue with palm-lined lawns. Downtown Miami and the Design District are about 20 minutes south by car.
Rent across Miami is high, so many students share apartments or live on campus. Summers are hot and humid, and hurricane season runs June to November.

Proof of funds for one academic year
SEVIS I-901 fee payment receipt

Barry reviews applications on a rolling basis. International students should apply by June for fall and October for spring to leave time for the I-20 and visa.
Programmes start in August and January, and some graduate courses also start in summer.
You'll need an F-1 visa. Once you accept your offer and send proof of funding, Barry University issues the Form I-20. After that it's the SEVIS fee, the DS-160 form and an interview at a US embassy or consulate.
Nursing, sport management, business and social work are popular. Undergraduates need school grades and around IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 61; graduate programmes need a bachelor's degree and usually IELTS 6.5.
Barry gives merit scholarships to first-year undergraduates, including international students. Graduate students should ask their programme about any available awards.
