Applications are rolling for both semesters. For a February start, apply by early December to leave time for your offer, fee payment and visa; for July, apply by early May. Health programmes with placements have fixed earlier deadlines listed on their course pages.
AUT has two main intakes: Semester 1 in February and Semester 2 in July. Most undergraduate and taught master's programmes admit for both. Some health and education programmes are February only, so check the course page.
You need a New Zealand fee-paying student visa. After you accept your offer and pay tuition, AUT sends confirmation, and you apply online to Immigration New Zealand with proof of funds of NZD 20,000 a year, medical certificates and, for longer stays, a police certificate.
Information technology, the MBA, engineering project management, applied management and health science are the most applied-for programmes. Master's entry usually needs a bachelor's degree with a B average (around 60-65% for Indian degrees) and IELTS 6.5 with no band below 6.0.
Yes. AUT offers international merit scholarships that reduce tuition for high-achieving undergraduate and postgraduate applicants, including awards for students from India and South Asia, with most assessed automatically from your application.
