Chelmsford became a city in 2012, and Anglia Ruskin's campus sits close to its centre beside the River Chelmer. This is where ARU runs its School of Medicine, which took its first students in 2018, along with nursing, midwifery, law and business courses in the Lord Ashcroft Building. London Liverpool Street is about 35 minutes by train.

Nursing, law, the MBA and international business are popular. Undergraduate entry is based on A-levels or equivalent with IELTS 6.0 (7.0 for nursing); master's courses need a relevant degree and IELTS 6.5. Medicine has its own, much higher entry bar and fees.
ARU offers international scholarships, usually as a fee discount for self-funded students. Amounts and conditions change each year, so check the scholarships page before you apply.
