Every Allegheny student finishes with the Senior Comprehensive Project, a year-long piece of original research or creative work. That requirement sums up this liberal arts college in Meadville, north-western Pennsylvania, founded in 1815. Students also take a major and a minor in different fields. Environmental science is a particular strength, helped by the college's own nature reserve outside town.

It's the F-1 student visa. Get your I-20 from Allegheny College first (they need your deposit and bank documents), then pay the SEVIS fee, complete the DS-160 and attend the visa interview. Book the interview early in peak season.
Environmental science, economics, computer science and neuroscience are popular. Entry is based on school grades, essays and recommendations, with testing optional. International applicants need IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 80, or equivalent.
Yes. Allegheny gives merit scholarships to most international students, and these reduce the sticker price a great deal. Ask about current amounts when you apply.
